As the founder of Canela, I focus on empowering companies and individuals with the strategic tools to thrive in an ever-changing world of work. My mission is rooted in service: to create a more equitable and thriving workforce by sharing data and compelling resources to drive meaningful, systemic change, one student, one organization at a time.

Hola, I'm Lorena

About Me

I am a dynamic talent acquisition strategist with over 15 years of global experience driving strategic hiring initiatives and building inclusive workforce programs for some of Silicon Valley's most innovative and competitive organizations

This includes Stanford University, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Uber, and Lucid Motors, to name a few. Today, I am Co-Chair of Stanford’s La Raza Employee Resource Group, where I represent less than 2% of Latino leadership staff and spearhead the launch of a groundbreaking inclusive talent program poised for university-wide adoption.

My career spans diverse industries, equipping me with deep expertise across all facets of talent acquisition and strategy. I understand the challenges of breaking into competitive spaces firsthand—and excel in helping organizations and emerging talent navigate this evolving workforce landscape.

I stopped surviving, and I learned to thrive.

And you can too.
